Your information matters.
This policy explains what information Skanare may collect and how it may be used to provide our services.
Last updated: October 2026
Information you provide
We may collect information you provide when creating an account, placing an order, contacting customer support or using other Skanare services.
This may include your name, email address, telephone number, shipping address and order details.
Account information
Skanare uses account authentication to provide access to customer-specific features.
Account information may be used to associate purchases and eligible dynamic QR codes with the correct customer account.
Payment information
Payments are processed through our payment provider.
We may receive information confirming the status and reference of a transaction, but Skanare does not need to store your complete payment card details.
Dynamic QR information
For eligible products, Skanare stores information required to associate a QR code with its owner, product, order and current destination (link or photo).
We may also store operational information such as scan counts and the date of the most recent scan.
When you upload a photo for a QR code, the image is stored in Firebase Storage. Anyone who scans the QR can view its active photo. Please avoid sharing sensitive images or private details. You can switch back to a link or replace the active photo from your account. A previously uploaded photo may be retained to allow you to reactivate it later.
How we use information
Information may be used to process orders, provide customer support, maintain customer accounts, manage QR functionality, prevent misuse and improve our services.
Service providers
Skanare may use third-party service providers for functions including hosting, authentication, payment processing, email delivery and customer support.
Optional analytics and advertising
If you consent, we use Google Analytics for website measurements and Meta Pixel for advertising measurement. When marketing consent is given at checkout, we may send details of a confirmed purchase to Meta through its Conversions API, including product identifiers, purchase amount and a SHA-256 hash of your email address for matching. You may reject non-essential tracking or change your choices via our Cookie Policy.
Data security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect information against unauthorised access, loss or misuse.
Your rights
Depending on the applicable law, you may have rights concerning access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal information.
